Green Salad with Garlic infused Tofu, Figs and walnuts

Figs 5
Garlic 5 cloves
Mixed Green leaves 180 gm
Soy Sauce 2 tbsp
Tofu 200 gm
Walnuts 10

Salad dressing : 
Honey 1 tbsp
Lemon Juice 3 tbsp
Olive Oil 6 tbsp
Pepper (Freshly ground) To taste
Sea Salt To taste

  1. Prep : Chop Figs, garlic and walnuts into small pieces. 
  2. Prep the Tofu : Cut Tofu into 1/2 inch size pieces. Stuff each piece of tofu with a small piece of chopped garlic. Dip the stuffed Tofu into soy sauce and cook over a flat pan. Cook both sides of the tofu till it browns lightly.
  3. Salad dressing : Add all the salad dressing ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
  4. Assemble : Tear the mixed green into a large bowl and add the figs, tofu and walnuts. Then drizzle the prepared salad dressing over the mixture and mix well. Enjoy your salad.

  1. Mixed green leaves can include lettuce, spinach, kale, cabbage, rocket etc.
  2. You can also serve this salad topped with an egg with a runny yolk.
