Beans Thoran



Ingredients:
Beans500 gms
Curry Leaves10
Grated Coconut2 tbsp
Green Chili2
Mustard Seeds1 tsp
Coconut Oil1 tbsp
Onion (big)1
SaltTo Taste

Method:
  1. Chop the onion and beans. Slit the green chili
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, curry leaves and slit chilies. Once the mustard seeds sputter, add in the chopped onion. Saute the onion till it cooks and turns pink. 
  3. Add the chopped beans and saute it for 5 minutes. Then cover the pan and leave it for 10 - 15 minutes in medium flame. This should cook the beans.
  4. Toss in the grated coconut and serve it hot.

Notes:
  1. Use coconut oil to give the dish an authentic taste. You can substitute coconut oil with vegetable oil.
